April/May is a lovely time on Inis Meáin. Spring is evident in so many ways all over the small island; in the stone surrounded fields with their newly sown potato ridges, in the return of the burren flowers and the laying down of extra sands on the beaches .
The coming of Summer seems that much closer with the cuckoo’s call from the end of April.
